I crochet for meditation, and fashion is the result.
Every piece begins in my imagination and then I bring it to life with my hands, one stitch at a time. Every stitch, every bead, and every detail is handcrafted by me. Crochet is my art and I love transforming thread into wearable art through a slow, intentional process.
Over the years, I've built a brand that celebrates individuality, diverse beauty, and size-inclusive fashion. My runway shows aren't the typical stoic walk down the catwalk. They're joyful celebrations of creativity, diverse beauty, and story behind each design. Along the way, I've had the honor of creating custom pieces for celebrities, bridal clients, and personal clients around the world.
As my brand grows into retail, my vision grows with it. I'm proud to partner with a community-focused manufacturing team in Moema, Brazil, where talented women artisans recreate my crochet designs with exceptional craftsmanship and care. Together, we're preserving the artistry of handmade fashion while creating meaningful opportunities for women through ethical employment, skill development, and community support.
My goal is simple: to build an internationally recognized slow fashion brand that proves luxury can be handcrafted, sustainable, and empowering for both the women who wear it, and the women who make it.

The Collection
For her Paris Fashion Week debut, Dominique Calvillo presents A Love Story.
Each piece is handcrafted by me as a form of meditation. I process so much emotion through crocheting, and in this collection I see the raw and honest journey of a girl who was brokenhearted but chose to search for her true, authentic happiness.
From toxic dating to finding true love, and now experiencing the deepest love I have ever known as I become a mother, this collection tells my love story. Others will see a fashion collection. I will see the tears, self-doubt, triumph, and the beautifully imperfect chaos that calls my heart to create.
There is no better place to tell this love story than in the City of Love.

Their craftsmanship is exceptional, and one of my greatest goals is to bring them more consistent work as my business grows.
